Below is the general guideline for helping me sprite:
...what to do now...
okay, so you obviously are interested in helping out to sprite.
The first thing I'd do is make a topic in this board, and title is something as "(insert username here)'s Sketches, Sprites and Ideas for Adoptables!" or something of the sort. In your topic, I'd attach or post some of your many ideas, sketches and/or sprites.
I'll try to see your topic and reply immediately, but basically, your ideas/sprites are a free-for-all sort of thing. I'd reccomend being creative with your dragons. The more interesting and creative they are, the more likely they'll be put online!
...Anyways, I would like to have some help spriting some dragons. There are four stages:
Egg- Yes, we do have an egg skin, but you don't necessarily have to use it. Here's an example (and the skin):
Hatchling- Here's the stage where you start to get an idea of what the adult will look like.
Developed Hatchling- Usually looks like the hatchling in a way, but is more developed. If you plan for your dragon to have wings, this is where the wings will come in.
Adult- The last and final, fully-developed stage!
If you sprite a dragon, you will get:
1,000 gold on the website (DragAdopt)
The rank as a Site Artist (which helps you unlock whole new dragons!)
And full credit for the dragon that you've sprited!
Here are the rules:
a) you must try on your dragon. I'm not going to be all nicey-nice, but some dragons look like kindergartners have sprited them. I'm not going to accept those.
B) you can be creative with your ideas. I've once even accepted a Toilet Paper Dragon!
C) Please, PLEASE try to use the egg skin! The skin is the one above, for the example for the egg. Please try to shade (if you do!) with the darker side to the right for your egg.
D) All images MUST be .PNG or .GIF form and transparent. You can do these things at iaza.com/ . If you don't feel comfortable doing these things, keep in mind that I will do them (but I'd prefer for you to not be so lazy!)
and that's it!
